Our vision is diverse, resilient, and powerful communities, acting together for their common good. Our primary service brings together refugees and local residents to cook and eat shared meals, while answering simple questions, such as, \u201cWhat was your favourite childhood meal?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role profile<\/strong><br \/>\nYou will lead the design and data architecture of our services, and be responsible for their success against our OKRs. You will take the lead on researching and prototyping service iterations based on user needs, funding constraints and strategic opportunities that align with our vision, mission and values.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brief<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Quickly grasp the details, strengths and weaknesses of our current operating model, and the contextual factors of working in a small, values-oriented team<br \/>\n2. Lead our multidisciplinary team through a discovery phase with the objective of simplifying our existing services, to reduce costs and increase scalability<br \/>\n3. Plan, deliver or delegate workshops for the whole team, to help us generate new iterations to our services<\/p>\n<p>4. Apply design principles to data management and technical challenges, making informed decisions about how we use different SaaS products together to deliver a service that is automatable, resilient, secure and compliant<br \/>\n5. Determine our approach to user research, and bring a design perspective to our roadmaps, OKRs, and weekly delivery cycles<br \/>\n6. Support the delivery of meals and operation of our service in other ways as needed from time to time in a small, agile, remote team<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience and skills<\/strong><br \/>\nYou\u2019ll have UX design experience, including wireframing, prototyping and service mapping. You will be able to demonstrate how you have used these skills to contribute to the success of a product or service.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s important that you have design research skills including interviewing and usability testing. We\u2019ll want to hear about examples of how they have improved your work.<br \/>\nYou\u2019ll also be able to demonstrate how you\u2019ve worked within a small team to prioritise iterations to a product in response to user feedback and in line with strategic priorities.<br \/>\nLocal Welcome\u2019s technical architecture includes a wide variety of online tools including CRM, payments, tickets, SMS, email comms etc, so we\u2019re looking for someone with experience of setting up automations between SaaS products.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s important that you enjoy collaborating within a small team where we all roll up our sleeves and get stuck in, including running and attending team workshops.
