Labor markets are like any other free market influenced by supply and demand where the supplier (employees) try get the best deal from the buyer (employer).

Of course companies were ready to pay a hefty salary premium for such stars as demand was high and supply low. Very soon the labor market understood the new opportunities and more and more candidates with Western European education entered the labor market. At the same time leading Ukrainian companies also understood better the value of talent and started to compete for top employees.
